Yes, Please, I'll Have Some Schadenfreude With That
Came across this scathing review of James Frey's new book in the Los Angeles Times. It made me very happy for some reason. Dr. Write made me feel okay about feeling protective about outside writers coming into one's territory and writing a bunch of hooey, which is what Frey has done about Los Angeles.

I have always thought that schadenfreude is one of the basic emotions of the writer, the others in the set being envy and despair. But maybe that's just me. That's a pretty sharp review, by the way.
